A Wichita-based aerospace manufacturer, operating five types of metal finishing lines (anodizing, etching, chemical film, passivation, and more), struggled to meet demand for high-quality rinse water. Even treated city water fell short, while their 20-year-old wastewater system lacked capacity and reliability.

MacDermid Envio conducted a thorough water survey, analyzed processes, and proposed a phased installation plan to maintain operations during upgrades.
Key improvements included:
- Separating low-TDS and high-TDS rinses
- Installing efficient water recycling for low-TDS rinses
- Treating high-TDS rinses and spent chemical baths with a new system
To reduce costs, much of the existing equipment was integrated into the new design.
